Insurance is an additional $40 per month bring my total to $245 for 3 cars 2 of which are on minimum coverage.
The dmv is shut down until further notice so hopefully it won’t need to be resmogged to transfer the title (since its only valid for 90 days)
Did a quick repaint of the intake
Started painting the rims last night while I was in there the hubs and most of the axle got painted too, mostly because I hate looking at rust.
So far its starts up on the first try, and after learning the gear spacing its been pretty fun to drive, 35mph feels like your getting away with something.
Things to fix: the transfer case and/or transmission is leaking a bit too much, heater core seems to be leaky, and I was 7 years old when the tires were new. After that its throwing spray paint and sheet metal at it.

Hopefully all 4 will be white by the end of today

I’m going to be the outlier suggesting you use the white as primer and go body colored brown on the wheels. You know that rust is going to show through before too long. Might as well account for it.

If I get to the painting the body all one color, repainting the rims body color will be a consideration, old steelies tend to match that look. (But currently past my effort level to paint them again rn)

Always easier to make suggestions on somebody else’s project for them to take on extra work doing.

Its funny how the sensation of speed makes completely safe and sane speeds seem way faster than they are, in some vehicles.
